Our first vacation in 8 years! We took a two day trip up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire last weekend. We arrived at our campsite Saturday evening around 5pm, and we returned back to Putnam at 8:30pm on Monday. We did some hiking, cave exploring, toasted marshmellows, played the peanut game, and told scary stories around the campfire. A great time! But too short. This was our first time away from the cafe since we opened it 3 1/2 years ago.

Yippee! Yahoo! I can talk to my sis via blog!!! Great pictures ~ I'm so glad you guys got to get away to the mountains, even for a short trip. I'm jealous. We haven't been able to figure out a time that we can get away this fall...every weekend has something that one of us "can't miss!". ugh
